Israeli officials say satellite images show Iran rebuilding missile production sites that were struck in Israeli attacks in June. The imagery, reviewed by analysts, suggests construction work is underway at facilities long linked to Iran’s weapons programs. Sam Lair of the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies told The Wall Street Journal that the sites appear to be regaining operational capacity.

Speaking on Wednesday at a graduation ceremony for new Israeli Air Force pilots, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is closely tracking Iran’s moves, as well as those of its regional allies, Hamas and Hezbollah. Standing before young pilots about to enter active service, Netanyahu framed the warning as one rooted in caution rather than confrontation.

“We are not looking for confrontations, but our eyes are open to any possible danger,” Netanyahu said.

Defense Minister Israel Katz struck a similar tone, saying Israel would not allow new threats to develop unchecked and would act early if necessary.

Behind the public warnings is growing diplomatic activity. Netanyahu is preparing to travel to the United States for talks with President Donald Trump, where Iran’s missile program and Israel’s security concerns are expected to feature prominently. An Israeli official told the Journal that assessments of Iran’s next steps will be part of the discussions.

In Washington, officials are said to be uneasy about the risk of escalation, even as pressure on Iran continues. Trump has warned Tehran against rebuilding nuclear facilities, and the U.S. Treasury recently imposed new sanctions targeting networks that support Iran’s missile and drone programs.

Analysts say Iran appears determined to restore its missile capabilities, even as it moves more cautiously on nuclear work. For Israel, the message is simple: rebuilding that crosses red lines will not go unanswered.
