The Day Christians Stand Together, Believing Injury To One Is Injury To All Bullies Will Stop —Kukah

According to a report by Nigerian Tribune, on Monday December 1, 2025, Bishop Matthew Kukah has stated that many of the challenges faced by Christians in Nigeria come from a lack of unity amid Christians genocide allegations in Nigeria.

He explained that Christians often stand alone when problems arise, and this makes them easy targets.

According to him, many Christians give in to people who try to intimidate them.

He believes this behaviour allows bullies to grow stronger and more confident.

Kukah said that intimidation continues because Christians do not act as one community.

He noted that when individuals face pressure, they do not always receive the support they need from others.

This, he said, creates room for more attacks, more fear, and more division.

He stressed that groups become stronger when they show collective courage.

In his view, Christians must learn to defend one another and speak out together.

He added that unity is not only a moral duty but also a practical shield.

When people know that Christians will respond as a united front, they become less likely to target them.

Kukah said that many challenges would disappear the moment Christians begin to declare that “an injury to one is an injury to all.”

He believes that solidarity can change the way society sees the Christian community and reduce the influence of those who attempt to bully or threaten them.

Kukah urged Christians to build stronger relationships with one another.

He said cooperation, understanding, and shared action can bring long-term peace.

He encouraged church leaders to teach unity and to show it in their actions.

He advised Christians to stop focusing on differences that weaken them.

“The main problem is that Christians succumb to bullies. The day we decide to stand together, believing that an injury to one is an injury to all, these things will stop,” he said.
