In a recent video on YouTube, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka has reaffirmed the Christian belief that Jesus Christ came to destroy every manifestation of evil, especially sickness and affliction in the lives of believers. Speaking during a recent ministration, the cleric emphasized that the Bible clearly outlines Christ’s mission as one centered on liberation, restoration, and healing.
Quoting from Scripture, Mbaka declared, “The reason why Jesus came, the Bible says in First John chapter 3, is to undo the works of the devil.” He stressed that Jesus did not appear on earth for symbolic reasons but for concrete acts of deliverance. Repeating the message for emphasis, he added, “For the reason the Son of Man came is to undo the works of the devil.”
Mbaka explained that the struggles many people face are part of the destructive works Christ came to break. “One of the works of the devil, one of them, is what you are passing through,” he told the congregation, noting that believers should recognize that negative circumstances are not God’s intention for their lives.
He further highlighted biblical assurances of good health, referencing the book of Third John. “When the Bible says in Third John verse two that you shall be of good health, the Bible didn’t say that you shall be of good sickness or of bad sickness,” he said, correcting misconceptions about divine will.
Mbaka insisted that sickness is not something God plants in the lives of His children. “Jesus came to heal,” he declared. “He never came to plant sickness in anybody’s life.”
