According to a report by Al Jazeera, Democratic lawmaker Zohran Mamdani delivered a pointed message to former President Donald Trump, addressing him directly during a speech that underscored New York’s determination to challenge his influence. Mamdani, who represents a district in New York, reminded Trump that it is the same city that helped launch his career that will now show the rest of the nation how to overcome him. “Donald Trump, since I know you’re watching, I have four words for you: Turn the volume up!” Mamdani said, with the crowd responding in applause.
Continuing his remarks, Mamdani made it clear that Trump’s divisive politics would not intimidate the people of New York. “To get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us,” he declared, highlighting the unity and collective strength of New Yorkers who stand firm against Trump’s rhetoric and policies.

Concluding his address, Mamdani reaffirmed his solidarity with labor unions and the working class. “We will stand alongside unions and expand labour protections because we know, just as Donald Trump does, that when working people have ironclad rights, the bosses who seek to extort them become very small indeed,” he said, positioning his message as one of empowerment, justice, and collective action.
