Shyngle Wigwe, the father of late Herbert Wigwe, former Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, has stated that he was unhappy when he first saw the new house Herbert built before his death. He said the house was too extravagant for his liking and that he had tried to caution Herbert about it, but by then it was already too late.
In an interview with NTA, Shyngle said that when he visited the new house for the first time, he was displeased because it looked too luxurious. He said he never knew about the construction of the house until it was completed because his son deliberately kept it from him, knowing he would not approve of it.
In Shyngle’s words: “I got to the new house I was not happy. It was very ostentatious, I didn’t like it one bit. I tried (to caution him) but it was too late. When he started building that house, I knew nothing about it”
