Evans Was Kidnapping People In SW & Keeping Them In FESTAC, How Come His Neighbors Didn’t Know—Osoba

Olusegun Osoba, former governor of Ogun State, has stated that the case of the kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, is one of the many criminal cases that show why Nigeria needs state police

Speaking in a video shared by Arise TV, Osoba said Evans kidnapped people in the South-West and kept some of his victims inside a house in FESTAC, a well-known federal housing estate in Lagos. He said he wonders how neighbours did not know that kidnapped people were being held inside the estate.

Osoba said when a state police force is created, it should focus on gathering intelligence because officers who live and work in their own communities can easily identify residents and notice suspicious movements.
