Somebody Told Me My Wife Was Trying To Kidnap Children, Before I Got There, They Had Burnt Her—Aliyu

According to a report by Daily Trust, The Kaduna State Police Command has condemned the mob killing of Islamic teacher Umukari Usman, describing the act of jungle justice as barbaric and unacceptable.

The incident, which occurred in Maraban Jos, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has continued to spark outrage across the country, with calls for justice and stronger measures against mob violence.

The victim’s husband, Mohammed Aliyu, has spoken publicly about the painful circumstances surrounding his wife’s death, recounting how he first heard of the incident while at work.

He said he was informed that his wife had been accused of attempting to kidnap children, a claim that later escalated into a deadly mob attack before he could arrive at the scene.

According to him, he immediately contacted a friend to rush to the location in an attempt to confirm what was happening and intervene if possible.

In his words, “I was at work when somebody called me and told me my wife had been caught trying to kidnap children.”

He continued, “I called a friend and asked him to go there before I arrived.”

He further lamented the speed at which events unfolded, saying he was devastated to discover that the situation had already turned fatal by the time he got there.

He added further emotional context, explaining the shock and disbelief he still struggles with after the incident.
