2023:Soludo Said Obi Wouldn’t Win A Single State,Obi Got 25% In 22 States With Results Declared-Umeh

Senator representing Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh, has recalled comments made by Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo during the buildup to the 2023 presidential election, saying the governor doubted the electoral strength of Peter Obi across the country.

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Umeh said Soludo had predicted that Obi would struggle to secure widespread support during the election despite the growing momentum around his campaign at the time.

“He said he would not even win a single state. Soludo said he would not make 25% beyond one or two states. Obi got 25% in nearly 22 states with the results declared, not to talk of those results he had that were not given to him.”

The senator stated that the outcome of the 2023 presidential election showed that Obi enjoyed significant support from Nigerians across different regions and demographics despite the doubts expressed by critics before the polls.
