Dele Farotimi, a renowned human rights activist and legal practitioner has taken to his official X handle to react after a young man was publicly executed by a police officer in Delta State. According to his statements, he pointed out that the action of the police officer was mere a glimpse of the impunity widespread across the country.
Many were left stunned after footages of how a young man was publicly executed by a police officer for offences not ventilated to the general public went viral across various social media platforms.
The young man, whose identities were withheld, was intercepted with substances believed to be harmful and in the ensuing confrontation, was shot dead at close range.
The incident, which triggered massive public condemnation, caught the attention of Dele Farotimi, a respected human rights activist who in a recent statement, also condemned the actions of the police officer.
However, according to his statements which generated massive public reactions, the respected legal practitioner pointed out that what happened was a mere glimpse of the impunity widespread across the country.
