According to Vanguard, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has once again declared his country’s firm backing of Russia’s ongoing military campaign in Ukraine, promising continued support to ensure Moscow’s success in what he described as a “sacred” war.
According to reports released by state media, Pyongyang remains committed to strengthening its alliance with Russia amid the prolonged conflict.
In recent months, North Korea has reportedly provided Russia with a wide range of military assistance, including missiles, ammunition, and even thousands of troops deployed to support operations on the battlefield.
Analysts believe this growing cooperation is mutually beneficial, as Russia is said to be offering North Korea financial assistance, advanced military technology, as well as vital supplies such as food and energy.
This exchange is particularly significant for Pyongyang, which continues to face diplomatic isolation and economic challenges.
The deepening relationship has also been highlighted by increased diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
Several senior Russian officials have visited North Korea in recent days, signaling stronger coordination and strategic alignment.
Among them was Russia’s Defence Minister, Andrey Belousov, who held talks with Kim on Sunday, according to official statements.
During the meeting, Kim reiterated his unwavering stance, stating that North Korea “will as ever fully support the policy of the Russian Federation to defend the national sovereignty, territorial integrity and security interests”.
