Frontline human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has openly rejected the ongoing mega-coalition talks happening among opposition leaders.
The outspoken politician delivered a massive critique of the recently concluded National Opposition Summit held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Describing the gathering of the political heavyweights in highly controversial terms, Sowore emphatically stated that he would never associate his political movement with such an alliance.
”I won’t join Sodom and Gomorrah,” Sowore reportedly declared while assessing the nature of the politicians spearheading the coalition.
The highly publicized Ibadan summit was hosted by Governor Seyi Makinde and attended by major figures including Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
However, Sowore believes that these traditional politicians share the exact same flawed ideologies as the ruling class they are currently trying to unseat.
He argued that merging with the old political establishment under the disguise of a “Third Force” would be a massive betrayal of the Nigerian masses.
The activist maintained that true democratic change cannot be achieved by recycling the same individuals who historically contributed to the nation’s current economic struggles.
This strong ideological stance officially distances his platform from the ongoing merger and sets him on a completely separate political path ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Political observers are now waiting to see if other grassroots activists will follow Sowore’s lead and boycott the proposed mega-coalition entirely….See More
