I Threatened My Staff To Stop Going to Church or Else I Will Sack Him, But He Quit Instead – Ladi Folarin

Renowned Yoruba Nollywood actor Ladi Folarin has shared his feelings about a previous choice he now wishes he could change, explaining how it impacted both his business and his personal beliefs regarding faith. During a discussion with FeelRightNews TV, the actor recalled an incident from the time he was in charge of a tea company, where a disagreement occurred between job expectations and an employee’s commitment to their religion.

Folarin noted that he had hired a worker who was a dedicated member of Deeper Life Church. The employee consistently left work at 6 p.m. each day to attend church services. Folarin acknowledged that this situation became more and more frustrating for him. Eventually, his frustration culminated in him giving the employee a stern ultimatum. He insisted that the worker either cease attending church during work hours or lose his job. Choosing not to sacrifice his religious principles, the employee opted to leave. Folarin then went ahead and terminated his employment.

Shortly after this event, Folarin’s tea business began to falter and eventually failed. Reflecting on what happened, the actor conveyed a sense of guilt, indicating that he believes his actions played a role in the company’s demise. He elaborated that, upon reflection, he recognized his ultimatum as a challenge not only to the employee’s faith but also to God.

He expressed, “While I was managing my tea company, I hired a worker who belonged to Deeper Life Church. Soon after this, my business fell apart. I later understood that by telling him to pick between my work and God, I was challenging God…See More
