In an interview with TVC NEWS, youth leader Corona Samson said the assailants moved through the neighbourhood firing shots and using machetes, forcing families to flee.
He described the attackers as appearing to wear army uniforms and carry ammunition, adding that they fired indiscriminately and used bladed weapons against residents.
Samson said volunteers initially recovered 14 bodies and that nearly 20 people were taken to hospital; by the following morning authorities had confirmed 11 fatalities.
According to him, “Some of them were having ammunition, dressed in Army uniforms. They started spraying bullets at people, some were using machetes on the masses. We gathered 14 dead bodies, and those taken to the hospital were almost 20. This morning, we have confirmed 11 dead.”…..See More
