Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has taken to his official X handle to react after the minister for defence and former Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa (rtd) was spotted with several APC supporters in Abuja. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the minister had left his primary duty.
Many were left stunned after the former Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa was captured with several supporters of the All Progressive Congress, APC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The minister, it can be recalled, was part of the delegation that accompanied president Tinubu on his visit to King Charles Phillip III in the United Kingdom, an inclusion which triggered mixed reactions.
Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, raised serious concerns over the actions of the defence minister.
According to his statements, he pointed out that at a time when the nation was facing security challenges, the defence minister was abroad on partisan duties.
