Momodu: He Called Asiwaju His Friend And Brother After Collecting Money From Him In 1996 To Feed—FFK

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has released a new statement intensifying his ongoing public exchange with media entrepreneur and former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu. The statement, posted on his X handle on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Following a series of exchanges between both figures that have drawn attention across political and media circles. Fani-Kayode began by acknowledging appeals from associates urging restraint, stating, “Apologies to my dear aburo Kayode Ajulo SAN and others that have said I should leave the Dele Momodu alone.”

He proceeded to make claims about Momodu’s early life, writing, “When Dele was at University he was a fraudulent rain maker who claimed to be able to ‘tie the rain’ for people on the day they were having special outdoor events.”

He added, “He duped the owner of a beauty pageant in this way on 1982 collected his money yet the rain still fell.” Continuing, he stated, “After leaving University he couldn’t get a job so he started off as a bread hawker on the street after getting a 3rd class degree in Yoruba at OAU.”

Fani-Kayode further wrote, “He was spotted on the street by MKO Abiola who bought him shoes and put him in charge of his Wonder Bakery.” He continued, “He eventually brushed up on his english and spelling and became a journalist and later an Editor in MKO’s Concorde Newspaper.” He also alleged, “He followed MKO around and later betrayed him.”

Fani-Kayode went on, “After MKO was locked up he attached himself to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and collected handouts from him for years.” He added, “After that he started taking pictures of people with his Ovation magazine.” He stated, “He failed in all these endeavours and everything he attempted to do always crashed.”

Referencing Momodu’s political ambition, he wrote, “So he went into politics, ran for President and got one vote. His ambition crashed.” Fani-Kayode also stated, “He became a spokesman for Atiku and was the only person that did not want power to come to the South in 2023.”

He continued, “We are approaching 2027 and he wants power to go back to the North already calling PBAT who once fed him a dictator.” He added, “Is this guy OK at all?” Fani-Kayode further wrote, “Everything about him eventually crashes and just as he crashed Atiku’s campaign and ambition in 2023 so he will crash it again in 2027.”

Continuing, he stated, “Let me go a little further.” He wrote, “Dele’s pattern of betrayal cannot be denied. It is unmistakable.” He added, “He called Asiwaju his ‘friend’ and ‘brother’ after collecting money from him in 1996 to feed.”

Fani-Kayode stated, “When the money stopped flowing from Asiwaju to him, he started to smother and bother his brother from another mother.” He continued, “He said he fled Nigeria because of Abacha, only to flee England to Kano to eat from the same Abachas when Tinubu’s money stopped flowing to him.”

He added, “Ile-Ife, where he grew up, is abuzz over how Dele Momodu, who once called Governor Ademola Adeleke his ‘friend’ and ‘brother’ and was dancing different salve moves with Adeleke, is now supporting Adeleke’s opponent in the Osun gubernatorial election.” He stated, “Who would have believed the dance parents would now be at loggerheads?”

Fani-Kayode further wrote, “All because of Dele’s uncontrollable appetite for food.” He added, “No wonder Gen Z calls him DFFO, Dele For Food Only.” He continued, “Google it! He is indeed a shameless GLUTTON.” He added, “No wonder he claimed his restraint business in Ghana collapsed.”

Fani-Kayode stated, “He must have eaten all the food meant for his patrons!” He continued, “From Adekeke, he moved to Nyesom Wike and was always around the dining table at the Rivers State Government House, overeating, according to Wike’s testimony.”

He added, “Then all of a sudden, he posted to Atiku, after Wike’s money dried up, and started insulting the Wike he was once consulting and consorting with.” He stated, “Atiku would be well-advised to be very afraid of Dele, especially as Peter Obi and Amaechi are eager to spend as well.”

He added, “Who knows?” He continued, “Tomorrow, Dele may not delay in relaying insults on Atiku once he sees a bigger payload from either of those guys.” Fani-Kayode concluded, “What else can one expect from a bread hawker, political prostitute and GLUTTON of the ages?….See More
