Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State, has publicly denied the authenticity of a viral video showing him massaging the foot of a South African woman on a private jet, describing it as entirely fabricated.

In an interview with News Central TV, Oshiomhole explained that the footage circulating online is the product of artificial intelligence editing and does not reflect reality. The former governor said he noticed many viewers questioning how he could possibly afford to buy or charter a private jet, and he took the opportunity to clarify the situation.

Oshiomhole emphasized that he does not own a private jet, and that chartering one is far beyond his financial means. “The only point when I saw some analyst saying they see comrade in a private jet, people said how can he afford to own or even to charter. Here is my defense. Every now and then we go for events and you find out that the airport is packed full. Since I left office it is not even about choice, I cannot afford to spend 15 million naira to fly to Lagos,” he said.

He further stressed that since leaving office, even a one-time private flight to Lagos costing around 15 million naira is beyond his capability. This clarification directly challenges the perception that he could maintain such luxurious travel in his post-governorship life.

Oshiomhole’s statement comes amid growing concerns about deepfake and AI-manipulated videos, which have increasingly confused the public and misrepresented public figures. He urged citizens to exercise caution and verify information before drawing conclusions about viral content online.
