Bashir Ahmad, the Senior Special Assistant to the late President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Communications, during an interview with a Nigerian Tribune correspondent reflected on the late president, the APC, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, and President Bola Tinubu, among others.
When asked to assess the performance of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president, Ahmad said the president had been implementing many positive policies and reforms. He noted that while some of the reforms had already begun to show direct impact, others—particularly the economic reforms—might take time to yield results, possibly even after the president leaves office.
Ahmad added that Tinubu had the determination to change the narrative of how the country had been governed by previous administrations. He said the president needed more time and support from Nigerians, noting that the full benefits of the reforms might only be felt several years after he has left the scene.
