As Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 general elections, political rhetoric is intensifying across party lines. Ibrahim Abdulkarim, Director General of Big Tent Nigeria, has added to the debate with strong remarks in support of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
In a recent interview on News Central TV, Abdulkarim praised the former Anambra State governor’s reputation, stating that he has not encountered anyone who has accused Obi of corruption. His comment stood out at a time when political discourse is increasingly marked by personal attacks and sharp criticism among rival camps.
Abdulkarim argued that Obi’s perceived integrity forms a central pillar of his appeal. However, he emphasized that character alone is not enough. According to him, Obi’s governance record, business background, and administrative approach are key factors that position him as a serious contender.
