“If They Do Not Make A Deal, The Consequences Are Very Steep. So, We Will See What Happens -Trump

United States President Donald Trump has issued a firm warning to Iran over ongoing diplomatic negotiations, saying failure to reach an agreement could result in serious consequences as talks continue.

Speaking during an interview aired on Forbes Breaking News, Trump said discussions with Iranian representatives were progressing but emphasized that patience was not unlimited. “If they don’t make a deal, the consequences are very steep. So, we’ll see what happens,” he said.

Trump indicated that recent meetings with senior Iranian officials had been constructive, suggesting Tehran now appeared more willing to compromise than in previous negotiations. He noted that Iran’s current posture marked a shift from earlier talks, when he said the country rejected tougher conditions.

He reiterated that any agreement acceptable to his administration would strictly prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, adding that Iran was now prepared to accept terms it previously refused. According to Trump, further meetings were scheduled, signaling that diplomacy remained the preferred path for the United States.

The president also referenced heightened military readiness by the United States in the region, describing it as part of a broader strategy to reinforce leverage during negotiations. He said Iran understood the seriousness of the situation and the potential cost of failing to reach a deal.

Beyond foreign policy, Trump highlighted what he described as significant domestic achievements, including declining inflation, lower energy prices, and strong stock market performance. He argued that these developments had eased cost-of-living pressures and improved economic confidence.

Trump further defended his administration’s approach to immigration and crime, claiming illegal border crossings had dropped sharply and that crime rates were at historic lows. He maintained that enforcement efforts were focused primarily on violent offenders, while insisting his political support base remained strong.

The comments come amid renewed international focus on Iran’s nuclear ambitions and growing speculation over whether a new agreement could alter relations between Tehran and Washington. While Trump expressed optimism about the talks, his remarks underscored that failure to reach a deal could carry far-reaching consequences.
