In a recent video shared on Facebook on Friday, May 8, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele spoke about the possible political dynamics ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, offering his perspective on the major contenders expected to shape the race.
In the video, Ayodele stated, “Peter Obi is not in the calculation, but it will be a very tough time for Atiku and BAT.” He was referring to Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu, popularly known as BAT.
According to Ayodele, the 2027 presidential contest may become highly competitive for the leading political figures, especially as alliances, negotiations, and political interests continue to evolve across the country. He suggested that the election could present serious challenges for both Atiku and Tinubu regardless of existing political structures.
