Wike:I said it in 2025, he Used my name in his madness, That’s the ends his political career—Sowore

Prominent activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has intensified political debate after declaring that the career of a notable Nigerian politician has effectively come to an end, following a public outburst in which his name was mentioned.

Sowore made the assertion while reacting to the politician’s remarks, describing the incident as a clear signal that the individual’s political relevance has completely faded.

The comments were made during an interview reported by Symfomi TV on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. According to the report, Sowore argued that the politician’s emotional and confrontational response reflected deep political frustration and a loss of public support.

He maintained that such behavior is often the final stage in the decline of a political career, especially in an era where citizens are more attentive to leadership conduct.

Speaking bluntly, Sowore recalled that he had predicted this outcome earlier, insisting that the politician’s decision to publicly lash out and mention his name was a decisive mistake.

“I was the one who said it in 2025, where he mentioned my name in his madness; that is the end of his political career, and nobody can revive it,” Sowore said. The statement underscored his belief that the politician had crossed a point of no return by engaging in what he characterized as an irrational tirade.

Sowore further contended that the display of anger and hostility has caused irreversible harm to the politician’s standing among voters. According to him, political leaders who resort to verbal attacks and uncontrolled aggression often do so because they have lost their moral authority and connection with the people.

He argued that such conduct sends a strong message to the electorate that a leader is no longer fit to command trust or respect.

The activist also emphasized that Nigerians are becoming increasingly observant and politically conscious. In his view, citizens are no longer willing to tolerate officials who rely on insults, hateful rhetoric, or personal attacks when challenged.

He stressed that those in positions of power are expected to demonstrate maturity, restraint, and a sense of responsibility, particularly when responding to criticism or opposition voices.
