‎Wike: The Most Dangerous Is A Member Who Is PDP In The Daytime And Somewhere Else At Night –Ajibade

‎The National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kamaldeen Ajibade, has warned that the biggest threat to the party comes from within, as reported by Daily Post on Monday, 15 September, 2025.

‎He said members who pretend to be loyal during the day but secretly support other parties at night are the most dangerous.

‎Ajibade spoke during an interview on a television programme on Monday.

‎He addressed questions about the role of former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and the G5 group in the 2023 elections.

‎He explained that it would be unfair to blame Wike alone for the party’s defeat.

‎According to him, the G5 issue was bigger than one person.

‎He stressed that party crises often have many causes, not just one name.

‎The legal adviser said the PDP has learned lessons from the crisis.

‎He revealed that the party is now focusing on loyalty and discipline.

‎He explained that members who openly identify with the party but secretly align elsewhere create confusion.

‎He described such behavior as the biggest danger to unity.

‎Ajibade said the PDP has taken steps to enforce discipline.

‎He added that measures are being put in place to strengthen party structures and ensure unity ahead of future elections.

‎He also noted that every member who violated rules is being checked.

‎On Wike, Ajibade said his position was already known to the public.

‎He explained that Wike has made his stance clear and is not hiding it.

‎The bigger problem, he added, comes from members who pretend to be loyal but act differently in secret.

‎He assured that the PDP leadership is committed to rebuilding trust.

‎He said the focus now is to prepare for future polls and avoid a repeat of past mistakes.

‎According to him, the party is determined to work together and present a united front.

‎“The G5 was not just about Wike alone. So, on the issue of discipline or lack thereof, I can tell you that the party has stepped forward to discipline every member. The most dangerous member of a political party is a member who is PDP in the daytime and somewhere else at night.

‎So for Wike, we’ve known his position, and Wike has come out to state his position as clearly as possible. In terms of discipline, the party is checking itself, and we’re working on that,” he said.
