Temitope Kolawole, a former armed robber who has turned his life around and become an evangelist, shared the reason for his transformation after spending 25 years in prison for theft.
A report by Punch on January 24, 2026, reveals that Kolawole encountered a paper on the ground titled “One Day” while gearing up for a robbery. As he read it, he felt as though the author understood his past and current intentions, causing him to cry and abandon his theft plans.
Kolawole noted that there was a phone number on the paper, which he called to share his story. The person on the other end prayed with him and encouraged him to embrace God and abandon his life of crime.
This pivotal moment occurred on September 6, 2021, and since then, Kolawole has refrained from stealing. He recounted, “One day, while preparing for another operation, I stumbled upon a paper titled ‘One Day’. It felt as though the writer was observing my life—both my past actions and my upcoming plans. While reading it, I cried like a baby and completely forgot about the robbery.”
