A 34-year-old woman, Erovwo, is seeking justice after she was allegedly attacked by a senior aide to the Delta State Governor. Speaking from a private hospital in Warri, Delta State, she explained that the incident happened on August 8, 2025, during a festival. According to her, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Community Development, Victory Nanakparo, and his group of men assaulted her.
In a video shared by Arise TV, Erovwo said the trouble began when Mr. Nanakparo stepped on her. She tried to question him, but his men became aggressive, asking who she was to speak to their boss in that manner. The situation quickly turned violent as they began to beat her. She alleged that the aide, whom she referred to as the so-called chairman, used a broken bottle to stab her and a chair to hit her.
Her injuries were severe, and doctors later confirmed that she suffered a brain fracture, which required urgent brain surgery. Despite undergoing surgery, Erovwo said she is still struggling to recover. Doctors reportedly warned that she might experience seizures even after the operation.
She also revealed that her medical bills have risen to over fifteen million naira. According to her, the case has been taken to court three times, but she believes the magistrate handling it has not been fair. Erovwo is appealing to the government for justice.
