Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission has recounted a striking incident that indicted the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the former governor prevented Audu Maikori from attending his father’s burial.
The former governor of Kaduna State and ADC Chieftain, Nasiru El-Rufai was recently on the spotlight after the revelation of how he prevented a young man identified as Audu Maikori from attending his father’s burial went viral across various social media platforms.
Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission made the revelation available to the general public on his official X handle.
According to his statements, the outspoken legal practitioner pointed out that Mallam Adamu Maikori, a titled man passed away on september 2020, but his son who was supposed to bury him was exiled by Nasiru El-Rufai.
This, came amid the controversies that trailed the recent predicament of the ADC Chieftain who is currently under the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC.
