According to a report by Al Jazeera, on October 14, 2025, US President Donald Trump delivered a heartfelt speech to the Israeli Knesset, affirming his unwavering support for Israel through both war and peace.
Nearing the end of his address, Trump said, “I’ve always stood with Israel and I’m going to continue standing with Israel.”
While acknowledging the possibility, he qualified his loyalty by adding, “I guess maybe something could happen to change my mind.
Somebody that’s really stupid gets into office and wants to do really bad things, but that’s about it. We don’t think we’re going to have that happen.”
Trump praised the resilience of hostage families he has met over the past year, describing the strength born from love amid suffering.
“I’ve looked into their eyes. I’ve seen the worst nightmares of their suffering, but I’ve also seen something else: the beautiful love of the people,” he said.

He lauded the remarkable achievements and growth of Israel, stating, “What you’ve done is a miracle. Look at your size. Look at your chances when it all started. You are safer today, stronger today, and more respected today than at any time in the history of Israel.”
Trump added, “People used to say it wouldn’t exist. They don’t say that anymore.”
The president expressed hope that if coexistence and security can thrive in Jerusalem’s ancient alleys, broader peace will be possible throughout the Middle East.
Quoting scripture, he said, “The God who once dwelled among his people in this city still calls us… to seek peace and pursue it.”
Trump applauded the historic nature of recent achievements, including the release of hostages: “And this week, against all odds, we have done the impossible and brought our hostages home.”
