In a recent video on Facebook, Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has advised the Federal Government to directly intervene in refinery operations as part of measures to reduce fuel prices, while warning of looming indictments within government and possible cabinet reshuffles.
Speaking during a prophetic message, Ayodele said President Bola Tinubu’s administration could significantly ease economic pressure on Nigerians if it takes decisive steps in the downstream oil sector. According to him, government involvement in refinery operations would have an immediate impact on petrol prices.
“The Tinubu government should intervene,” Ayodele said. “If the government intervenes in the refinery, this will really help the Nigerian government by bringing petrol down to between ₦500 and ₦550.”
The cleric, however, warned that challenges remain within the corridors of power, predicting that some top officials in the current administration could face serious allegations.
“Top government officials in Tinubu’s government will be indicted,” he stated.
Ayodele also raised security concerns for political leaders across the country, calling on some state governors to pray for divine protection against accidents and attacks. Although he did not clearly list specific states, he emphasised that movement-related incidents could pose risks to key political figures.
“Some governors should pray for their movement against attack or accident,” he said. “They should pray for safety.”
In addition, the cleric foretold changes within the federal cabinet, suggesting that President Tinubu may relieve some ministers of their duties as part of efforts to stabilise governance.
“Tinubu will relieve some of his ministers,” Ayodele said.
He further urged the president to pray for the safety of his close aides, warning that unexpected losses within his inner circle could create setbacks for the administration.
“Tinubu should pray not to lose any of his aides,” he cautioned.
Ayodele also hinted at revelations within Nigeria’s creative and public space, predicting that some well-known personalities would be exposed through internal conflicts and disclosures.
“Some knowledgeable artists will fight, be dirtified and expose their hidden secrets,” he said.
The cleric’s comments come amid ongoing debates over fuel pricing, refinery capacity and governance reforms, as Nigerians continue to grapple with the effects of subsidy removal and economic adjustment policies.
Ayodele urged leaders to act with wisdom and transparency, stressing that proactive economic decisions, especially in the oil sector, could help restore public confidence. He also called for prayers for national leaders, warning that political pressure, internal rivalry and public scrutiny could intensify in the coming period.
He concluded by advising the government to combine policy action with caution, noting that while bold reforms are necessary, failure to manage internal risks could undermine their impact.
