We Will Not Let Trump Go, He Must Pay The Price, He Has Martyred Our Leader, Our People -Larijani

According to a report by Iranian News Agency IRNA on Sunday, March 8, 2026, a senior Iranian official has issued a stern warning to United States President Donald Trump, declaring that Tehran will hold him accountable for recent attacks that killed Iran’s supreme leader and other citizens during the escalating conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel.

Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said Washington would “pay the price” for the strikes that Tehran says led to the death of the country’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei. The remarks were made in a strongly worded message posted on social media amid the intensifying regional crisis.

“We will not let Trump go. He must pay the price,” Larijani said. “He has martyred our leader and our people. This is not a simple matter. We will not leave him alone until we retaliate in kind.”

The warning comes as tensions remain high following a wave of coordinated US and Israeli strikes on Iranian territory that reportedly targeted key military and leadership sites. Iranian officials confirmed that Khamenei and several senior commanders were killed in the attacks, an event that has shaken the country’s leadership structure and triggered vows of revenge from Tehran.

In response to the strikes, Iran has launched multiple waves of missile and drone attacks targeting what it describes as strategic Israeli and US-linked positions across the Middle East. Iranian authorities say the operations are part of a broader retaliatory campaign aimed at deterring further attacks and demonstrating that the country will respond forcefully to foreign aggression.

Larijani accused Trump of dragging the United States into what he described as an unjust war against Iran, arguing that Washington’s actions would carry serious consequences. He insisted that the killing of Iran’s top leader and other citizens could not go unanswered.

“The martyrdom of our leader will have a heavy price,” Larijani said, stressing that Iran would pursue retaliation regardless of international pressure.

The comments have further heightened concerns about the possibility of a wider regional conflict. Military exchanges between Iran and its adversaries have intensified in recent days, with both sides issuing increasingly strong warnings.
