Sources indicate that four main military strategies are being evaluated. One option involves taking control of or blockading Kharg Island, which is Iran’s primary oil export center. Another possibility is targeting Larak Island, which has radar systems and smaller vessels that could jeopardize commercial shipping.
A third option includes invading Abu Musa Island, which is significant for regulating ships leaving the Persian Gulf. This island, along with the Greater and Lesser Tunb islands, is under Iranian authority but claimed by the United Arab Emirates.
The fourth strategy would see the interception or control of ships carrying Iranian oil.
