Two Untouchable Persons Were Both Arrested On Their 66th Birthday Within 4 Days Of Each Other -FFK

Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has commented on the recent arrests of two well-known figures, sharing some moral and spiritual lessons.

In a post on his verified X account, he said it was surprising that both men were arrested on their 66th birthdays, just a few days apart. He named them as Nasir El-Rufai, a former Nigerian minister and governor, and Prince Andrew, the younger brother of Charles III.

He added that both were reportedly arrested over issues related to corruption, spying, and national security, but emphasized that they are still considered innocent until proven guilty. He said he did not take pleasure in their situation but felt there are lessons to be learned from it.

He wrote, “Two hitherto untouchable personalities are both arrested on their 66th birthday within four days of each other.

“On Monday it was Mallam Nasir El Rufai @elrufai, a former Minister and a former Governor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and today it is Prince Andrew Windsor-Mountbatten, the younger brother of Kings Charles 111 of the United Kingdom.

“Both have been arrested in connection with corruption, espionage and state security matters.

“Both are of course innocent until proven guilty and I do not relish what has happened to them but a few lessons can be learnt here.”

Femi Fani-Kayode further said that one lesson from these events is that wrongdoing, no matter how well hidden, often catches up with people eventually. He added that political power is temporary and belongs to God. He also said that using power to harm the weak, poor, or vulnerable—especially in ways that leave widows and children suffering—has moral and spiritual consequences.

He referred to a Bible verse describing God as a protector of orphans and widows, saying that divine justice always prevails. He mentioned watching a video by Reno Omokri showing the wife and children of activist Abubakar Idris, also known as Dadiyata, expressing sympathy for their situation and the difficulties the family faces.

Fani-Kayode also said that wealth, influence, or connections cannot protect anyone from being held accountable when justice, whether human or divine, takes its course. He prayed for the families involved and hoped that the truth would come out and justice would be done in both cases…..See More
