In a recent statement via his official X account, former presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie, has reacted to reports surrounding investigations involving former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
”The hunt for Mallam’s crime. Over the last four days, Mallam Nasir @elrufai has been processed by and moved from EFCC to DSS; from DSS to ICPC.
From the foregoing, we are expecting his next stop will be the Police, then the Civil Defence, Customs, Immigration, the Girls Guide and then, the Boys Scout.

In her post, Onochie described what she called a steady movement of El-Rufai between security and anti-corruption agencies within a short period and mentioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the Department of State Services, and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission as part of the process.
According to her, the repeated transfers raised questions about the coordination of the investigation and suggested that the former governor could be taken to even more agencies if the pattern continued.
