Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church (IESC) Worldwide has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot be removed from power by ordinary opposition politics alone, insisting that only a coordinated effort backed by the international community could make such a move possible.
Speaking during a recent prophetic declaration via Facebook, Ayodele said Nigeria’s opposition parties may attempt to unseat the president, but such efforts would fail without strong external support.
According to him, internal political pressure, protests, or alliances among opposition figures would not be sufficient to dislodge Tinubu from office.
“To remove Tinubu from power, the opposition will try. Ordinary opposition cannot do that without the backup of the international community,” the cleric said.
“They can put themselves together to remove him, but they can’t unless it is with the backing of the international community.”
Ayodele argued that Nigeria’s political structure and global positioning make international influence a decisive factor in any serious attempt to remove a sitting president.
He suggested that global powers, international organizations, and diplomatic pressure play a critical role in shaping political outcomes in countries like Nigeria, especially when it comes to leadership changes.
He noted that even if opposition parties unite, their efforts could be neutralized by institutional structures and political alliances already in place.
He also warned opposition leaders to be realistic about their strategies, urging them to understand that Nigerian politics is no longer driven solely by local dynamics.
