According to a report by Al Jazeera, former Israeli ambassador Alon Liel has said that the issue of recovering the bodies of deceased captives from Gaza is being handled with deep emotion in Israel, placing significant pressure on the government to act.
Liel explained that many Israelis believe Hamas is violating the ceasefire agreement by withholding some of the bodies of those who were killed while in captivity. He added that Trump’s personal engagement as “the chairman of the deal” demonstrates his commitment to ensuring that both sides uphold their responsibilities under the agreement.
