The Attackers Even Stripped Oluode Of His Charms, Because Bullets Could Not Penetrate Him – Muhammad

Mrs Gbemisola Muhammed, the widow of a slain hunter, has described the brutal killing of several residents during the Oke-Ode bandit invasion, including a hunter known as Oluode Ologomo, who was slain shortly after his wife gave birth.

She said the attackers stripped him of his protective charms before killing him, as bullets initially failed to pierce his body.

Speaking in an interview with PUNCH on Saturday, October 4, 2025, Muhammed revealed that 22 people were killed in the single assault, while many others were abducted.

The widow explained that the heavily armed bandits moved from one location to another, targeting hunters and local vigilantes who tried to defend the community.

Among the victims, she said, were families kidnapped from a nearby hospital and traders murdered on the roadside. Muhammed added that her husband and two relatives were also killed, leaving her to care for five children and two grandchildren.

She urged the Kwara State Government to restore security to the region, lamenting that no one is safe anymore.

In her words: “Oluode Ologomo, whose wife had just given birth, was also killed. The attackers even stripped him of his charms, as bullets could not penetrate him. In total, 22 people lost their lives in that single attack, while many more were taken hostage.” See, More, Here>>>>
