In a recent video on Facebook, Spiritual leader and prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stern warning to the Nigerian Super Eagles ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifying match, cautioning that the wrong player selection could cost the team victory.
Speaking during a prophetic session, Ayodele expressed concern about the attitude and commitment of some players in the national squad. According to him, three unnamed players lack the hunger and seriousness needed to deliver results for Nigeria.
“I’ve said this — three players must not play in this match,” Ayodele warned. “If you want to win Benin Republic, you have a lot to do. There are three players not even sure, not serious. They are not hungry for goals and they don’t know that Nigerians want to go to the World Cup.”
The cleric, known for his bold predictions in sports and politics, cautioned that the Nigerian team could face public backlash if they fail to perform.
“If you mess up, they will just stone all of you,” he said. “It’s either you don’t play this squad at all and tell them you are not going to play. If you play, one goal like this is what I see, and that’s what I’m saying.”
Ayodele further emphasized that the Super Eagles must score at least two goals to secure qualification, adding that divine interest alone would not guarantee success without discipline and focus on the pitch. “We need two goals to go to the World Cup,” he declared. “Can these players do it? Can they make us proud?”
