Denrele Edun, an actor, has stated that there was a time armed robbers attacked his family house and were instructed to shoot him on sight
In an interview on The Morayo Show, Denrele Edun said the armed robbers stormed his house and beat him along with other members of his family. He added that they were forced to lie flat on the floor
Edun said while they were lying on the ground, the gang leader came into the room and saw him. He said the leader immediately recognized him and shouted his name. He said the leader also told his men not to further hurt anyone
Edun said the gang leader told him that he once helped his younger brother, who was an upcoming artist at the University of Ilorin. He said the robbers eventually left without shooting him or his family members
In Denrele’s words: “We had armed robbers come to the house and they were told to shoot on sight but they didn’t tell them who. They just told them the person’s name was Dele or something. And you would not believe that when the armed robbers came, when they beat everybody, when the gang leader came in we were all lying flat on the floor. When he saw that it was me he shouted ‘Denrele, no. Everybody, leave'”
