In a recent interview on Symfoni TV, Rivers State elder statesman and Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) pioneer spokesman, Anabs Sara-Igbe, continued his assessment of the political situation in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 governorship election, focusing on the expected strength of Governor Siminalayi Fubara in a free and fair contest.
During the interview, Sara-Igbe stated, “In a free and fair election, anybody Wike brings will not get 10% of Fubara’s votes.” He made the remark while discussing the growing political rivalry in the state and the anticipated direction of voter support in the next election cycle.
Sara-Igbe explained that political loyalty in Rivers State is increasingly driven by grassroots sentiment rather than elite endorsement, arguing that the governor currently enjoys strong public backing across different parts of the state.
