Ambassador designate, Reno Omokri, has taken a swipe at politician, Peter Obi and others demanding real time transmission of results.
In a video making the rounds on social media, Reno Omokri argued that if Peter Obi’s “owned bank” cannot guarantee real time money transfers to their customers, how then is he expecting INEC to deliver real time election of over 200 million Nigerians during an election.
‘’Dear citizens of Nigeria, I want you to fact check what I am about to say. Peter Obi’s owned bank, last year, had tens of thousands of complains of customers not having real time access to the banks app, of costumers sending money and the money not getting to the destination bank in real time and reversals to their bank accounts not happening in real time, bank customers not being able to access the bank’s apps in real time, not being able to access USSD services in real time. This happened with that bank last year and this same Peter Obi went to the National Assembly to protest for real time transmission of election results by INEC
Now, if your own bank that boasts of having some of the best internet facilities not just in Nigeria but in Africa cannot guarantee real time money transfers to ten million customers, how do you want INEC to guarantee real time election transmissions to 100 million registered voters in Nigeria?”
