Social media users have taken to their official X account on Monday, March 2, 2026 to react to the statement that Nigerian lawmaker, Bello El-Rufai made about The Nation Newspaper.
In the post that Bello El-Rufai shared on his page, he said The Nation newspaper is a toilet newspaper.
He made the statement after Mallam Nasir El-Rufai was arrested and detained by the federal government.
The lawmaker claimed that the media outlet lied against his father in a report that was published.
According to Bello El-Rufai on his official X account;
“But I have chosen to break my silence to put an end to a blatant lie. Attached is the statement in response to the allegation by a toilet newspaper called The Nation on a story from their ICPC sources”……See More
