Reactions After It Was Announced That Rivers Gov, Siminalayi Fubara Has Defected From PDP To APC

There have been several reactions from social media users after it was announced that the governor of Rivers state, Siminalayi Fubara has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

This announcement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

In the report that surfaced online, it was stated that the Rivers state governor defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressive Congress.

According to report, Siminalayi Fubara made the decision during the stakeholders meeting that was held at the government house in Port Harcourt.

The Rivers state governor has now joined Enugu state governor, Peter Mbah, Bayelsa state governor, Douye Diri, Akwa Ibom state governor, Umo Eno and Delta state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori in APC.
