Professor of Political Science, Kamal Bello, has weighed in on Nigeria’s evolving political alignments, drawing attention to what he described as inconsistencies among key political figures who once opposed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu but are now aligned with his administration.

Bello made the remarks during an interview on Trust TV, where he also referenced controversies surrounding the embattled Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Josh Amupitan. He used the situation to highlight broader concerns about political credibility and shifting loyalties in Nigeria’s governance space.

Citing notable figures, Bello said, “People like Daniel Bwala, Reno Omokri, even Femi Fani-Kayode said more than that against Tinubu. That they have evidence of atrocities towards 2023 election. But today, they are part of the team.”

The professor noted that such reversals raise questions about consistency and accountability in Nigerian politics.
