Lawal Daura, former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), has spoken about the rescue of the teachers and schoolchildren kidnapped by Ansaru terrorists in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In an interview with Arise TV, Daura said he does not believe the rescue operation has weakened the Ansaru terrorist group. He said he read reports that the terrorists abandoned the kidnapped victims and fled before the victims were rescued
Daura said that if the reports were accurate, it meant the terrorists who had the most valuable information about the Ansaru group escaped and they could still return to carry out another attack
