Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has reassured citizens that the government is working hard to restore peace, especially in Kaduna State.
Speaking during an interview shared by Channels TV, he stressed that security forces are under pressure to stop bandits and terrorists who continue to attack communities and kidnap people. He made it clear that keeping Kaduna safe is very important, adding that success in other parts of the country means little if the state remains unsafe.
He also addressed the recent Jilli airstrike, which was aimed at insurgents but sadly affected civilians. According to him, the military is reviewing its actions while still pushing forward with stronger efforts against criminal groups.
Musa explained that the government’s new approach is tougher. Anyone who supports, trades with, or helps terrorists in any way will be treated as one of them. This includes people who provide information, supplies, or shelter to criminal groups.
He warned that security forces will go after both the attackers and those connected to them. At the same time, he advised civilians to stay away from areas where terrorists operate and avoid any form of association with them to stay safe.
