Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights lawyer and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after legal practitioner and renowned human rights activist, Inibehe Effiong faulted President Tinubu’s ambassadorial list. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello should also be included.
Many prominent political figures across the country, including former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, former governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Reno Omokri amongst several others made the ambassadorial list by president Tinubu.
The list, which circulated on different social media platforms, generated massive public attention given the pedigree of the individuals that made the list, however, the absence of certain individuals did not sit well with a section of the public.
Frontline human rights activist and legal practitioner, Inibehe Effiong in a statement which was shared by Sahara Media, faulted the ambassadorial list as he pointed out that those nominated were of questionable character.
His statements, which garnered widespread traction across various media platforms, caught the attention of Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights lawyer and former chairman of the national human rights commission.
According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, Chidi Odinkalu, well known for his outspokenness and boldness, pointed out that former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello should also be considered for an ambassadorial role.
These were the words of Chidi Odinkalu which he shared on his official X handle,
“Pls join the campaign to make sure Yahaya Bello gets on that BAT’s Ambassadorial list.” He wrote.
