Yunusa Tanko, a former Chieftain of the Labour Party and coordinator of ‘Obidient Movement’ has taken to his official X handle to react after the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi visited victims of a fire incident in Kano State. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that the energy of the former governor should be utilized.
The former governor of Anambra State and erstwhile Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was once again, on the spotlight after he visited victims of a fire incident in the popular Singer Market in Kano State.
The popular singer market, it can be recalled, suffered severe damages as an inferno broke out, damaging several properties worth millions of naira. The unfortunate incident drew massive public sympathy.
However, the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was visibly on ground to condole with the victims, offering words of encouragement and solidarity amid deafening silence from local authorities.
This was contained in a recent post from his senior aide and former labour party Chieftain, Yunusa Tanko which he shared on his official X handle on Monday February 9th, 2026.
According to his statements, he pointed out that the energy displayed by the former governor should be utilized for the good of the people.
He further pointed out that from Abuja to Lagos, Enugu to Asaba and back to Lagos, the former Anambra governor was always on the move. The people and the future of the country, according to Yunusa Tanko were always on Peter Obi’s mind.
