Nollywood actress Oluwakemi Ogunbiyi Olaniyan has shared a deeply personal account of betrayal and heartbreak, revealing how her former partner allegedly attempted to pursue a romantic relationship with her younger sister.
The actress made the revelation during an interview with FeelrightNews TV, where she opened up about her past relationship and the shocking events that ultimately led to its breakdown. According to Olaniyan, what initially appeared to be kindness and generosity toward her family later turned out to have a different motive.
Recounting the experience, she explained that her former partner showed unusual care and attention toward her younger sister, often providing financial support and gifts. At the time, she believed his actions were simply an extension of his affection for her.
“I had a younger sister whom my ex-boyfriend liked very much. He took very good care of her. In fact, when iPhones first came out, he bought one for her. Sometimes, he would even call me to send money to support her while she was in university. I thought he was doing it for my sake but I was wrong,” she said.
Olaniyan noted that the situation took a dramatic turn after disagreements began to surface in her relationship. Following a misunderstanding with her partner, she decided to end the relationship and communicated her decision both to him and to her younger sister.
According to her, she informed her sister that she was no longer interested in continuing the relationship and was preparing to move out. However, the response she received from her sister left her stunned.
“My younger sister then asked if I was sure about what I was saying, and I told her I was certain,” Olaniyan recounted. “It was then that she opened up to me that my husband had been asking her out, and that she didn’t know how to tell me earlier.”
The actress further disclosed that her sister revealed details of the alleged advances, including an invitation from the man to meet at a hotel. The confession, she said, confirmed suspicions she had not previously considered and brought clarity to his earlier behavior.
Olaniyan described the experience as both painful and eye-opening, noting that it changed her perspective on trust and relationships. She expressed gratitude that her sister eventually spoke up, despite the difficulty of the situation.
