My Brother Called Me A Fugitive Because I Asked For Compliance When El-Rufai Wanted Me -Odinkalu

Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after Muyiwa Adekeye, a senior special adviser to the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai raised serious concerns over the refusal by ICPC to grant him bail. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that he was called a fugitive when he demanded for compliance with law when the former governor wanted him arrested.

The news regarding the refusal by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC) to grant bail to the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasiru El-Rufai generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.

The senior special adviser on media to the ADC Chieftain, Muyiwa Adekeye raised serious concerns over the actions of the anti-graft agency, an act which triggered massive reactions, including from Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and lawyer.

According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he narrated how six years ago, the former Kaduna governor refused to comply with the rule of law in his desperation to get him arrested. His aide Muyiwa Adekeye also used the opportunity to insult him.
