Magnus Abe Almost Got Killed During Rally In Bori, Amaechi Came With Helicopter And Took Him Away -Badey

Suage Badey, the son of Ogoni elder Albert Badey, has stated that he agrees with the recent comments made by Senator Magnus Abe about the situation in Ogoni land. He said Abe was right when he said no single person can fully speak on behalf of the Ogoni people at the moment

In an interview with Arise TV, Badey said Senator Abe himself almost lost his life in Bori, the traditional headquarters of the Ogoni people, many years ago during the administration of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi. He said Abe attended a rally in Bori and was attacked during the event. He said the crowd threw objects at him and almost tore his clothes

Badey said that it was Amaechi who eventually intervened, bringing in a helicopter to quickly take Abe away from the area

In Badey’s words: “Even Magnus himself almost got killed many years ago under the Amaechi administration. He went for a rally in Bori and they were throwing things at him. They almost tore his shirt and were almost attacking him before Amaechi came down and they took him in the helicopter and left. So what did he do that you want to kill him? And even if he did something that was wrong must you kill him?” See, More, Here>>>>
