Kanu:I Came Here Today Against All Odds To Come And Ask That Tinubu Must Free Nnamdi Kanu Now-Sowore

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has called on President to release detained separatist leader.

Sowore made the call while addressing protesters demanding Kanu’s freedom in Aba, Abia State. The moment was captured in a video interview published by SYMFONI TV, where the activist spoke to supporters who had gathered for the “Free Nnamdi Kanu” protest.

During his address, Sowore said he deliberately travelled to Aba despite potential risks in order to join the demonstration and demand Kanu’s release. According to him, the call for freedom for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader is rooted in the need for justice and respect for civil liberties.

“I came here today against all odds to come and ask that Tinubu must free Nnamdi Kanu now,” Sowore told the crowd while speaking during the protest.

Kanu, who leads the Indigenous People of Biafra, has been in detention while facing charges brought by the Nigerian government. His case has remained one of the most debated political and legal issues in the country, drawing reactions from supporters, activists, and political observers.

The gathering in Aba attracted pro-Biafra supporters and rights activists who carried placards and chanted slogans calling for the immediate release of the IPOB leader. Many of the demonstrators argued that Kanu’s continued detention raises questions about human rights and due process.
