Former lawmaker Shehu Sani has called attention to Nigeria’s historical role in the Second World War, urging the United States and European nations to remember the sacrifices made by Nigerians during the global conflict.
In a post shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, Sani stated that about 46,000 Nigerian troops were deployed during the war while the country was still under colonial rule.
